some things to know about New Moon. . .

. . . from the New Moon Illustrated Movie Companion:

**In all the “vision” sequences Edward is wearing the same outfit he does when he said “goodbye” to Bella because that is the last memory she holds of him.

**Even the cameras used and their movements are done to show the relationship between the characters.

**They scouted many locations for the Cullen house, but found one that “was comparable enough with the house in Portland.”

**The Cullen house used for Twilight was “a very specific house, and the only way out of that puzzle for us was to put portions of the story of New Moon in other parts of the house”.

**Rob quote: “The birthday scene at the Cullen house is like the ideal birthday party. The house is beautifully decorated and everyone is happy. Edward is looking at Bella and thinking that she can become part of his family and his life–that maybe this can work out the way he wants it to.”

**One special challenge for the production team was how to convey Bella’s depression once Edward departs. In the books..the month pages do it. (October, November, December, January) In the film the passage of time is represented with visual effects. Bella sits in her chair in the bedroom and a camera circles around here while the seasons change outside her window.

**As a sign that Bella is committed to Edward her clothes are linked to his color wise. After he leaves she doesn’t pay much attention to her appearance.

**when they are rebuilding the bikes there is a montage of scenes.

*new* New Moon Movie Still

Fangoria reports:

". . .Take THE TWILIGHT SAGA—Stephenie Meyer’s four-part novel series about a human girl who falls in love with a vampire is everywhere you turn. Last November, the franchise’s first feature TWILIGHT opened to theaters full of screaming girls. On November 20, similar sounds will be heard as the sequel, NEW MOON, bares its teeth—and claws—at 12:01 a.m. via Summit Entertainment.

“There’s something for everyone this time around,” screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg (DEXTER) says during a break from yet another long day in the TV series’ writers’ room. “NEW MOON, as directed by Chris Weitz, looks amazing. There’s definitely more conflict going on.”

In the center of that conflict is high-school heroine Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). On her 18th birthday, her vampire boyfriend, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and his family throw her a party—but when an unexpected paper cut causes Jasper Cullen (Jackson Rathbone) to attack Bella, Edward’s attitude begins to change. Knowing the danger that his family poses to Bella, he makes the painful decision to leave their home town of Forks, WA, telling her before he goes, “This is the last time you’ll ever see me.” With her one true love gone, Bella falls into a deep depression, but soon finds comfort in her best friend, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), who is protecting a secret of his own. . ."

our first look at Emily's scars

Tinsel Korey as Emily Young.

"Emily Young is Sam Uley's fianceƩ. . .

Emily and Leah are second cousins, but they were said to be like sisters. Sam had been dating Leah when he imprinted on Emily, which caused conflict between the two women and ruined their friendship.

. . .She has three long scars on the right hand side of her face, and one long scar reaching down to her arm, which were inflicted by Sam when he lost his temper and changed into a wolf while standing right next to Emily."

Midnight Showings of New Moon. . .

. . . already selling out!!
Check out your area before it's too late!!

Like I Said... Robsten is so ON !!

There is a lot of media hype as to whether Rob and Kristen (Robsten) are a couple or not... well some of the staff @ an apparent Twilight cast hangout in Vancouver seem to have a better grasp on the couple than the paparazzi has been able to get. . .

E! Online's Team Awful Reports:

"A.T.: How about Rob and Kristen, what is their dynamic like?
Hostess One: Doesn't everyone just know that they're dating?

A.T.: Uh, you'd be surprised how many don't want to believe it.
Hostess Two: Oh, well everyone here knows. They are the only cast members who will come in alone a lot. You can just tell by looking at them. They're really cute together, always smiling.

A.T.: Love it! Hate to say it though, but "smiling" and "Kristen Stewart" seem unlikely to be in the same sentence together.
Hostess One: No way. She is incredibly sweet—I'd be a bitch, too, if there were cameras constantly in my face. But she's great, and so is Rob. They just seem to make each other happy."

On the Cover: Robert Pattinson

Rob on the cover of AnOther Man, due out in October. . .

"DazedDigital previews issue 9 of AnOther Man out on October 1, which features Robert Pattinson on the cover. . .Dave Calhoun speak to the 23-year-old Twilight star about the pressures of fame and the craft of acting: “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”

. . .“It’s strange because even though the figures show that the books were successful and sold millions of copies, you couldn’t even buy them in London. I tried a couple of bookshops and they weren’t available. Hardly anyone I knew had read them apart from one girl, a friend of my sister. I had no idea at all. I’d seen Kristen Stewart in Into the Wild and some of the director Catherine Hardwicke’s other films, and that’s all I thought it was, something really small.”

. . .“Annoyingly, there are so few parts I feel I can add anything to, or that I want to do. . . I don’t want to be an actor for the sake of it. I don’t find any particular pleasure in being an attention-seeker.”

Twilight Author set for another Book Adaptaion Movie

Stephenie Meyer wrote more than the Twilight Saga; she wrote an amazing adult book called The Host. Stephenie confirmed a few days ago on her website that The Host will now be coming to the big screen!

"September 23, 2009

Hey guys, great news! The Host is on its way to the big screen:

Variety.com: "Twilight's Meyer..."

I'm so excited to be working with Nick Weschler, and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz to bring The Host to a visual format. They've all been a dream to work with, so lovely and collaborative, and I feel like we're in a really good place to make a great movie together. And then to have Andrew Niccol writing and directing? Truly awesome. If you've never seen Gattaca, go watch it now. One of my favorite movies of all time. It's such a great example of character driven science fiction, which is ideal for The Host, no? I'm having an absolute blast imagining different dream casts, which I would post if people didn't take my silly blogs so seriously these days. I'm looking forward to seeing the cast lists you come up with in the fansite forums, and if any of them match mine.

So, very exciting. Yay Host!

XO
Steph"
