"In the movie, Bella (Stewart) has been abandoned by her vampire love, Edward (Robert Pattinson), but she hears his voice in her thoughts, even as she finds herself drawn to her friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner). ''When you get broken up with, it really is the worst thing in the world,'' says Weitz. ''Meyer gives a kind of supernatural context to people's real feelings, which sums up what we all go through.''...Happy birthday, Bella!
In this EW exclusive photo, the movie's newly 18-year-old heroine has been thrown against a rose-covered table by her beloved, Edward. Readers will know his intentions were honorable: He was trying to protect Bella (and her paper cut!) from the vampire Jasper. ''The whole cast is reading the book and wanting to get it right,'' says Weitz.
...Last month, USA Today had the first look at New Moon's Wolf Pack — Alex Meraz (Paul), Chaske Spencer (Sam), Bronson Pelletier (Jared), and Kiowa Gordon (Embry) — in costume. And byin costume, we really mean shirtless.
