"While on the set of his upcoming film Remember Me, the 23-year-old heartthrob was ambushed by a throng of crazed fans on Monday, who stalked the actor's whereabouts in New York on Twitter and fan sites.

Screaming every moniker from RPattz to Edward, Twilighters couldn't contain their excitement once they spotted Pattinson in his signature Ray-Ban Wayfarers during a break from filming. And despite being surrounded by multiple bodyguards, Pattinson was sidelined by a fan who managed to steal a hug, wrapping her arms around his neck as he graciously smiled for onlookers.

"It's pretty nuts. It doesn't seem very real at all," the British star said of the frenzy last year when Twlight first became a hit. "I just go to these different cities and people start screaming.""

Couple Alert? Ashley Greene and Adrian Grenier

People.com reports:

"Dancing close, surfing and snuggling: It sounds like a Hollywood movie, but it was real life for Ashley Greene and Adrian Grenier, who spent the weekend getting cozy in Santa Barbara, Calif.

The Twilight actress and the Entourage hunk met for the first time Friday during the welcome dinner at Oakley's "Learn to Ride" surf weekend – and were practically inseparable until Sunday, a source tells PEOPLE.

"They hit it off," says the source, who saw the pair dancing together to music by Kelley James on Friday night. "[They] really had a great time."

On Saturday, Greene and Grenier hung out and talked before taking surf lessons. That night, they met up at a barbeque at El Capitan Ranch and "were flirting and dancing close all night long," says the source. "They held nothing back dancing – it was pretty intense."

Other stars who enjoyed the weekend of fun in the sun – and who stayed at the Bacara Resort – were Lo Bosworth, Mario Lopez and Benji and Joel Madden. But it was Greene and Grenier who sizzled.

"[They] got super cozy all weekend. They were very cute," says the source. "They were hanging out nonstop and they only met Friday. They spent the whole time together – surfed together – everything." "

"As the Twilighters know, Emmett Cullen is a pretty tough dude -– and Lutz is no slouch himself.

So, although the actor seems destined to be another of Freddy’s ill-fated teens, we’re hoping he’ll at least put up a pretty good fight.

“It’s very similar to [the original], but with new characters,” Lutz explained, . . . “It’s a lot of fun, and it’s actually pretty spooky to be on the set, on location seeing what we’re working with… you walk into these locations and it’s like, you’ve gotta watch your back.”"
